Our new album’s existence is confirmed by @uncutmagazine. Excited to bring Life & Love to the public as soon as possible…
John Mulvey at Uncut Magazine has included NYCTaper’s recording of our live performance from February 15th, 2013 on their 11th playlist of 2013…includes links to download the entire performance:
I had the pleasure of finally meeting Uncut Magazine’s John Mulvey back in March. I’ve enjoyed both his writing for Uncut AND his tremendous support over the past couple of years, and it was truly a pleasure to stand and talk to him for an hour or so after our show opening for Dash Rip Rock at Don Pedro’s in Brooklyn. Our conversation rapidly bounced from cricket to football (English), from Zeppelin to James Booker, to Neil Young’s obsession with fidelity, and many more things in between…honestly not too different than a late-night hyped-up enthusiastic conversation that I would of had with my old pal Jack Rose, who I first came to John’s attention through because of my musical collaborations with Jack. A kindred lover of the corners of life’s attic that you can sit and chat with for hours, a real pleasure…
Very excited to represent Uncut on their stage at this year’s Great Escape Festival in Brighton on May 12th: http://escapegreat.com/artist?id=2591
More press and praise from the lovely folks at Uncut magazine in the UK, which is available on newsstands now in their Feb. 2012 issue.
This time it’s for the live EP we released on Noisetrade.com, which is available for free download by clicking here, entitled “Hans Chew & The Boys: Live at The Earl, Atlanta, GA, February 23rd, 2011”. It’s a few songs from a show we played while on our first US tour last year…hope you’ll download and enjoy!!!
…also #3 on their 20 Best Americana Albums of 2010… I had the good fortune to play on lucky #13 as well, Jack Rose’s Luck In The Valley. Lots of love from the fine folks over at Uncut.
